چکیده

Objective: This study focused on the antibacterial and anti-proliferative activity of extracts from Carica papaya Cocos nucifera roots. Methodology: The minimum inhibitory concentration bactericidal Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus aureus were deduced by microdilution method. anti-biofilm was determined all four strains anti-quorum sensing inhibition violacein production in Chromobacterium violaceum. Anti-proliferative prostate cultured cancer cells evaluated MTT assay. Sterols triterpenes also assayed this study. Results: methanolic extract showed best effect with a percentage 66.10 ± 1.79. had strongest quorum (61.42 0.28). In addition, roots cytotoxic LNCaP cell lines (IC50 = 26.98 2.6 μg/mL) PC-3 127.20 5.99 μg/mL). rich sterols. Conclusion: provides support for ethnomedical use as an antimicrobial anticancer.
